The Ku'dorf (later modernized to Q-Dorf , Q-Berlin ) was a large-scale discotheque and for decades the largest and oldest discotheque in Berlin .

The original name Ku'dorf is derived from the nearby Kurfürstendamm ( colloquially : Ku'damm). The discotheque was located at Joachimsthaler Straße 15 in the Charlottenburg district . The Ku'dorf was founded on November 27, 1975 as Germany's first "beer village". After the fall of the Berlin Wall , the club, which was established in the former West Berlin, was faced with new expectations from its audience. The beer village quickly developed into an "experience discotheque". Unlike many other clubs in the City West, the Ku'dorf managed to remain a fixture in Berlin's nightlife through continuous adaptation.

The 2000 m² discotheque consisted of four dance floors and 18 small pubs or sections, which represented various theme worlds such as Bavarian inns, jungle caves or party cellars in the provinces. There was also a fountain square, a jazz club and a wine bar with live music. The entire complex, known as "Jo 15", which later included offshoots such as Club Maxxim and Bar Nicos in addition to the Ku'dorf, was managed by 200 employees and attracted between 6,000 and 10,000 guests five days a week, many of them tourists.
