This coin was minted in the modern state of Israel. As with many Israeli coins it depicts imagery and motif adopted from its ancient heritage and historic past. It is a modern extension of ancient Jewish coinage motif. The design is based off of a coin from the Bar-Kochba Revolt (132-135CE).

back: The denomination "10 Pruta" and the date in Hebrew; two stylized olive branches around the rim
