FEATURING
front: Logo of the Central Bank of the Philippines

The prototype of the Philippine Central Bank (BSP) logo was designed in 1949 by Dan Zamora of Crispulo Zamora at the proposal of President Miguel Cuaderno.
The logo symbolizes the Philippine state, a man pushing progressive wheels. The background symbolizes the dawn of rising sunlight prosperity that the traditional agricultural products of the country are the basic ingredients for industrial production and commerce. Also, the circle and central bank text "CENTRAL BANK OF THE PHILIPPINES" symbolizes perpetuity and suggests that banks will provide the necessary finance, commerce, and monetary policy.
In 1979, during the terms of the presidency of Gregorio S. Licros (Gregorio S. Licaros), the logo will be simplified based on the old design.
