Seychelles 25 Cents {1993-2012} 1S FEATURING front: Black Parrot The Seychelles black parrot, Praslin parrot or kato nwar (Coracopsis barklyi) is a sombre-coloured, medium-sized parrot endemic to the Seychelles. Historically, it has been treated as a subspecies of the lesser vasa parrot, although it shows morphological, ecological and behavioural differences. Recent phylogenetic research indicates that the Seychelles population has a long history of isolation and may be basal to the rest of the Coracopsis group. It is the national bird of the Seychelles. back: Arms with swordfish as supporters The coat of arms of the Republic of Seychelles shows a shield, in which a giant tortoise is located on green grounds. On the ground there is a coco de mer palm tree. Behind it there is a blue sea with two islands and a sail ship to be seen. The shield is enthroned by a silver helmet, on which a white-tailed tropicbird is located above blue and white waves. The shield is supported by two white sailfish. Beneath the shield the motto of Seychelles is stated: "Finis Coronat Opus" (Latin for "The End Crowns the Work") Lettering: REPUBLIC OF SEYCHELLES • quantity 1 • polished Nickel plated Steel coin • diameter: 18.9 mm • weight: 2.91 g CHOOSE FROM DROP DOWN MENU {2.4 mm thick cords} • 22" black cotton necklace with lobster clasp • 24" stainless steel ball chain {lightweight 5 g} • 1-1/8" silver color keychain with 30 mm ring {see last photo} • no chain or cord message me if you need a shorter length black necklace facebook.com/coinedJewelry instagram.com/coinedJewelry twitter.com/coinedJewelry pinterest.com/coinedJewelry tumblr.com/blog/coinedJewelry coinedJewelry®
