UK Great Britain 2 Shillings {florin} FEATURING front: Tudor rose in the center surrounded by thistles, shamrocks and leeks The Tudor rose (sometimes called the Union rose) is the traditional floral heraldic emblem of England and takes its name and origins from the Tudor dynasty. The House of Tudor was a royal house of Welsh and English origin, descended in the male line from the Tudors of Penmynydd. Tudor monarchs ruled the Kingdom of England and its realms, including their ancestral Wales and the Lordship of Ireland (later the Kingdom of Ireland) from 1485 until 1603, with five monarchs in that period. The Tudors succeeded the House of Plantagenet as rulers of the Kingdom of England, and were succeeded by the House of Stuart. The first monarch, Henry VII, descended through his mother from a legitimised branch of the English royal House of Lancaster. The Tudor family rose to power in the wake of the Wars of the Roses, which left the House of Lancaster, to which the Tudors were aligned, extinct. • quantity 1 • demonetized {no longer in circulation} polished Copper-nickel coin • diameter: 28.52 mm • weight: 11.30 g ***Choose from drop down menu *** {2 mm thick cords} 22" black cotton necklace 24" silver plated ball chain 1-1/8" silver color keychain with 30 mm ring {see last photo} ****If you need different length black necklace please message me**** facebook.com/coinedJewelry instagram.com/coinedJewelry twitter.com/coinedJewelry pinterest.com/coinedJewelry tumblr.com/blog/coinedJewelry
