The Philadelphia Rapid Transit Company ("PRT") was formed in 1907. It operated street cars (Trolleys), buses and rapid transit lines until 1940, when it was reorganized as the Philadelphia Transportation Company (PTC).
In September 1968 PTC was acquired by SEPTA.
These tokens date from the 1907-1940 period that PRT operated.
